Dr Shruti Nishanth is a trained paediatric ophthalmologist and squint surgeon with interest and expertise in complex strabismus, childhood myopia and child eye disorders. She has completed her training from Premier institutions in India and is an expert in squint surgery and is known for her skill in complex strabismus. She has won best paper presentation in TNOA, AIOS 2 years in a row, and has been awarded a Travel grant for her work in myopia at the International Myopia Conference. Her special interests include research, children with visual disability, low vision and myopia. She is a clinician scientist currently pursuing her PhD in myopia. She loves poetry and dance and talking to kids in the clinic!
